Gamescom 2023 Sets New Record with Over 1,200 Exhibitors
The upcoming Gamescom 2023 has seen a significant surge in exhibitor registrations, with a total of 1,220 participants from 63 countries, marking a 7% increase from the previous year's 1,135 exhibitors from 53 countries. Following a two-year break, last year's event witnessed a strong turnout, and this year's foreign exhibitor share has risen to 76%, up from 75% in 2022. To accommodate the growing number of exhibitors, the exhibition space has been expanded by 4.5% to approximately 230,000 square meters, with the event set to take place at Koelnmesse from August 23 to 27. According to Felix Falk, managing director at the German Games Industry Association, 'Gamescom 2023 embodies the vibrant spirit of global gaming culture, with its international, creative, diverse, and massive presence.' The event promises an exciting lineup, including interactive areas, mobile esports competitions, live music performances, and a stage program featuring prominent game developers like MiHoYo. Additionally, the Opening Night Live event, hosted by Geoff Keighley, will take place on August 22. With over 265,000 visitors from more than 100 countries attending last year's event, Gamescom 2023 is poised to be an unforgettable experience.
