Introducing the Pioneering Cohort of Black Voices in Gaming's XPerience Excellence Accelerator
Black Voices in Gaming has officially unveiled the inaugural group of developers participating in the XPerience Excellence Accelerator program. In collaboration with Netflix Games, this initiative is tailored to support mobile game development, offering participants valuable networking opportunities and industry insights. A grant of $20,000 will be awarded to each participating studio to facilitate project development and pitches to potential investors and publishers. The inaugural cohort consists of: Snake Mail Delivery Service by Gesinimo Games from the UK, Hot Bunz by SpaceSalad Studios from South Africa, Driftwood by Weathered Sweater from the US, and Chess Heroes Clash by Oshoma Games from Nigeria. The selection of these developers was based on criteria including game concept, team experience, and funding utilization. According to Justin Woodward, co-founder of Black Voices in Gaming, "Our team has been dedicated to establishing innovative programs and partnerships that amplify the presence and opportunities of Black developers in the gaming industry since our inception." Woodward also expressed enthusiasm about collaborating with the talented cohort of developers within the Black Voices in Gaming community.
