Major Industry Players Join the GamesIndustry.biz Investment Summit at PAX
The GamesIndustry.biz Investment Summit at PAX has seen a significant surge in participants, with prominent platform holders, investors, and publishers confirming their attendance. Nintendo, Limited Run, and Kepler are among the latest additions to the event, which aims to connect indie developers with key industry stakeholders. The summit, scheduled to take place on August 31st at the Seattle Convention Center, has already attracted over 60 game developers. They will have the opportunity to network with investors, publishers, and platforms such as Agnitio Capital, Hiro Capital, and Square Enix Collective, among others. This year's event features a keynote fireside chat with Shawn Layden, former chairman of PlayStation Studios, who will discuss current industry trends and future directions. Jen MacLean from Xbox will also participate in a fireside chat, sharing insights on the platform holder's expectations from third-party developers. Additionally, Valve will deliver a live talk on how visibility works on Steam. The event is sponsored by tinyBuild, who will also be speaking about the importance of emergent gameplay.
