Baldur's Gate 3 Achieves Milestone of 800,000 Concurrent Steam Players

Within days of its release, Baldur's Gate 3 saw a significant surge in player numbers, reaching a peak of over 800,000 concurrent players on Steam. According to data from SteamDB, as cited by PC Gamer, this feat has propelled the game into Steam's top ten for lifetime concurrent players, currently holding the ninth spot and surpassing Apex Legends in the process. With a peak of 814,666 concurrent players, it is fast approaching Hogwarts Legacy's count of 879,308. Notably, the game achieved 500,000 concurrent players within the first 24 hours of its launch, far exceeding the team's initial expectations of around 100,000 players. Following its exit from Steam's Early Access on August 3, the game is scheduled to launch on PS5 on September 6.
