Microsoft and Square Enix Unveil Exciting New Partnership for Final Fantasy

Phil Spencer, Xbox's head, made a significant announcement at the Final Fantasy 14 Fan Fest, revealing a collaboration between Microsoft and Square Enix. The partnership will bring the popular MMO Final Fantasy 14 to Xbox Series X|S in 2024. During a joint keynote address with Square Enix CEO Takashi Kiryu and Final Fantasy 14 producer Naoki Yoshida, Spencer expressed his admiration for the team's player-centric approach, stating that Xbox shares a similar philosophy. Kiryu hinted at the possibility of more Final Fantasy titles coming to Xbox, emphasizing Square Enix's commitment to delivering exceptional games to fans worldwide. Yoshida expressed his gratitude and enthusiasm for the partnership, looking forward to working closely with the Xbox team. The game will feature 4K support, faster loading times, and a duty support system for solo players on Xbox, along with an open beta as part of the Patch 6.5x series. Additionally, an expanded free trial will be available on Xbox Series X|S, allowing players to experience the Heavensward and Stormblood expansions up to level 70 without any playtime restrictions.
