Xbox Welcomes Antstream Arcade
For the first time, Xbox will host a third-party cloud gaming service, with Antstream Arcade scheduled to launch on July 21. This retro gaming platform boasts an impressive library of over 1,300 games, featuring iconic titles such as Space Invaders, Pac-Man, and Mortal Kombat, sourced from renowned consoles including Atari, Commodore, Sega, Nintendo, and PlayStation. Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One users will have access to this extensive catalogue. Subscription options include an annual fee of $29.99 or a one-time payment of $79.99 for lifetime access. The service will be available in key markets including Europe, the UK, USA, and Canada. Initially launched on PC, Mac, Android, Nvidia Shield, Amazon Fire TV, and Atari VCS, Antstream Arcade has been expanding its reach since its soft launch in Western Europe in 2019, backed by funding from Tencent. In 2021, Epic Games further endorsed the platform by adding it to its store, following the introduction of cloud gaming services.
