Major Wins for Santa Monica Studio and Guerilla Games at Develop:Star Awards 2023

The Develop:Star Awards ceremony, held last night, honored outstanding achievements in the gaming industry over the past year. Santa Monica Studio's God of War Ragnarök emerged as a top winner, claiming three awards: Best Game, Best Narrative, and Best Audio. Guerilla's Horizon Call of the Mountain, co-developed by Firesprite, took home awards for Best Visual Art and Best Technical Innovation. This year's event introduced the Sustainability Star award, which was awarded to Ustwo Games, also the winner of Best Mobile Game for Desta: The Memories Between. Other notable winners included Roll7, awarded Best Studio, and Hi-Fi Rush from Tango Gameworks, which won Best Original IP. Guerilla Games received the Develop Star Award in recognition of their 20th anniversary and industry achievements. Dr Jo Twist OBE was honored with the Special Recognition Award for her decade-long contributions to the industry.
