Global Mobile Gaming Revenue Hits $41 Billion in First Half of 2023

According to the latest data.ai report, worldwide mobile game revenue totaled $41 billion in the first half of 2023. A notable milestone was reached in May, with global game revenue peaking at $94 million, the highest monthly figure since 2020. In terms of digital store performance, iOS game spending remained steady year-over-year at $24.6 billion, while Google Play spending reached $16.3 billion, slightly down from the $16.6 billion recorded in the first half of 2022. The top-grossing mobile games for the period included Honor of Kings, Candy Crush Saga, Roblox, Coin Master, and Genshin Impact. Furthermore, the total number of game downloads worldwide reached 30.4 billion, with Google Play accounting for 26.1 billion and iOS accounting for 4.3 billion.
