Gardens Secures $31 Million in Series A Funding

Gardens, a game studio established in 2020 by founders Stephen Bell, Lexie Dostal, and Chris Bell, has successfully raised $31.3 million through a Series A funding round. The round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners and Krafton, with additional participation from notable investors including Dreamhaven, TIRTA, Annie Strain, Jeff Strain, and others. The funds will be utilized to expand the studio's workforce and drive the development of its inaugural game, which draws inspiration from massively multiplayer online (MMO) games. "The enthusiasm and support from these esteemed investors and partners serve as a testament to the excitement surrounding our game and studio vision," Dostal remarked. Furthermore, the studio announced that renowned industry figures John W. Thompson, Jack Tretton, Ben Feder, and a member of Nintendo's founding family, Yamachi No.10, have joined Gardens' advisory board.
