Scriptic Secures $5.7 Million in Seed Funding
Scriptic, formerly known as ElectricNoir, has successfully raised $5.7 million in its latest seed funding round. This investment will be utilized to bolster the company's operational capabilities and enrich its content offerings. Additionally, the funds will support staff expansion and the integration of external writers into its innovative AI-powered creation platform. The funding round was led by Bitkraft Ventures, with participation from Tower 26 and the Amazon Alexa Fund, bringing Scriptic's total seed funding to $8.2 million. Founded by Nihal Tharoor and Benedict Tatham in 2018, Scriptic specializes in crafting interactive media experiences through the synergy of human creativity and generative AI. The company's inaugural title, Scriptic: Crime Stories, which was released in 2022, garnered a BAFTA nomination. According to Tharoor, "Our vision for Scriptic is to captivate global audiences with stories that mirror the dynamic landscape of our digital existence."
