GOG's Release of Yakuza Series Omits Crucial Developer Credits
The release of the Yakuza series on GOG has been found to exclude credits for several key developers. According to reports from VG247 and Reddit, the credits fail to acknowledge series creator Toshihiro Nagoshi. Additionally, series producer Daisuke Saito is also missing from the acknowledgments. The development teams behind the PC port of the Yakuza series, including Lab42 and QLOC, are not listed in the credits on GOG. Last year, Nagoshi established a new game development studio with NetEase, which was joined by Saito and other former Sega employees. The latest title from Ryu Ga Gotoku, Like a Dragon Gaiden: The Man Who Erased His Name, is set to launch this November. GamesIndustry.biz has contacted GOG and Sega for a statement regarding the issue.
