Retro Games Make a Comeback at the GI Summer Party

Please note that tickets for the GI Summer Party 2023 are now sold out. The GamesIndustry.biz Summer Party, scheduled for next month, will once again feature a curated selection of popular retro games. Following their successful introduction at last year's celebration of GamesIndustry.biz's 20th anniversary, these retro games are back by popular demand. This year's event will take place on July 12th at Horatio's Bar, located on Brighton Pier, with the festivities kicking off at 7pm and running until midnight. Ticket holders will receive two complimentary drinks and a serving of fish and chips. The event is co-hosted by prominent industry players, including Amiqus, Lighthouse Games, and Renaissance. Annie Clare, HR Director at Lighthouse Games, expressed her enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "Lighthouse Games is thrilled to be partnering with the Gamesindustry.biz Summer Party during Develop. Such events are vital for uniting our industry and recognizing the exceptional talent within it. We look forward to seeing everyone there and appreciate Gamesindustry for hosting a fantastic night." Liz Prince, Business Manager at Amiqus, added, "Develop:Brighton is a highlight of the year for Amiqus and many others in the games industry. It's a prime opportunity to reconnect, forge new relationships, and enjoy the beautiful seafront setting. We're delighted to support the GI.biz Summer Party once again in 2023, as it provides a wonderful, informal celebration of the UK's games industry." Stefano Petrullo, boss of Renaissance, also commented, "In-person meetings are essential for our line of work. Renaissance is proud to co-host the GI Summer Party, where we can catch up with old friends and make new ones in the stunning setting of Brighton pier." It's worth noting that this event is distinct from Develop:Brighton and the Develop: Star Awards, and tickets to those events will not grant access to the GI Summer Party.
