Roblox Expands to Include Games for Adults 17 and Older

Roblox is introducing a new feature that enables developers to create games for an older audience, specifically those aged 17 and above. To access and create these experiences, players must first verify their age by uploading a government-issued ID and a photo of themselves. The company has warned that this content may include graphic violence, strong language, and mature themes, and will be rolling out the update in the coming weeks. This move is part of Roblox's strategy to attract more adult users, which has been in place since 2021 and has already shown promising results, with the 16-24 age group growing at a faster rate than the under-13 demographic in 2020.
