Capcom Celebrates 40 Years with Nearly 500 Million Games Sold
Capcom has marked its 40th anniversary by announcing the sale of approximately 500 million game units worldwide. One of its most successful franchises, Resident Evil, has sold over 142 million copies since its debut in 1996. Notably, the Resident Evil 4 Remake achieved four million sales in April. As of March 31, the Monster Hunter series has sold 92 million games, with its first title released in 2004. The Street Fighter franchise has sold 49 million units, with its first game dating back to 1987, and its latest installment, Street Fighter 6, reaching one million global sales within a week of its release. Capcom's games are now available in 230 countries and regions, with 307 titles sold across the globe.
