Twitch Unveils Enhanced Content Classification System

Twitch has revamped its content classification system, introducing a more detailed labeling approach to help creators connect with suitable audiences and safeguard younger viewers and advertisers. The new system, outlined in a recent blog post, aims to provide a more nuanced way of categorizing content, without altering the existing community guidelines. The previous mature content toggle has been replaced with more specific labels, including: Mature-rated games, Sexual themes, Substance use, Graphic violence, Profanity, and Gambling. Twitch emphasizes that streamers will not face immediate suspension for mislabeling their content, but repeated failures to comply may result in temporary channel locks.
