Versed Secures €1.6 Million in Pre-Seed Funding to Revolutionize AI-Powered Game Creation
Versed, an AI-driven game development platform, has successfully raised €1.6 million in its pre-seed funding round. The platform's primary objective is to empower users to create intricate virtual worlds, replete with interactive dialogue, characters, and turn-based combat, all through the simple act of writing on the platform. The funding round was spearheaded by Gradient Ventures, Google's AI-focused venture fund, with additional participation from Cherry Ventures. Other investors, including Framer and Remote, also contributed to the round. Founded earlier this year by CEO Robert Gaal, formerly a Google executive, and Chief Technology Officer Cat Burton, who previously served as the head of engineering at Preloaded, Versed is poised to democratize game development. According to Gaal, 'The creation of interactive worlds has traditionally been a daunting task, inaccessible to all but established game studios.' He added, 'Versed is poised to usher in a new era of storytelling, one where the creative reins of role-playing games are placed squarely in the hands of the players themselves.'
