Twitch Launches Partner Plus Program with Enhanced Revenue Sharing

Twitch has unveiled its Partner Plus program, featuring a revised revenue-sharing model that favors streamers. According to Mike Minton, Twitch's chief monetization officer, streamers who maintain at least 350 recurring paid subscriptions for three consecutive months will be eligible for a 70% share of their net subscription revenue, up to $100,000 annually. However, gift subscriptions and Twitch Prime subscriptions are excluded from the 350-subscription threshold. Streamers who meet the criteria will be automatically enrolled in the Partner Plus program for 12 months, regardless of any subsequent decline in their subscription count. The program is set to launch on October 1, 2023, with eligible streamers being selected and notified from July onwards. Currently, Twitch operates on a 50/50 revenue split, but Partner Plus streamers will revert to this split once they reach the $100,000 annual cap. This development comes after Twitch recently reversed changes to its advertising guidelines that would have restricted streamers from embedding ads into their streams.
