Ubisoft Forward Event Reveals Star Wars Release for 2024 and Avatar Launch on December 7

During the Ubisoft Forward 2023 event, the company announced the release date for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora and provided in-depth looks at Assassin's Creed Mirage, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, and Star Wars Outlaws. The event kicked off with a detailed presentation of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora, featuring gameplay snippets and an in-depth story analysis. Director James Cameron appeared in a pre-recorded segment, stating his vision to explore Pandora's world through various technologies and mediums beyond film. The game, set to launch on December 7, is described as an open-world action-adventure title that will introduce new characters, settings, and a story that coexists with the two Cameron films, and will also offer two-player co-op. A significant portion of the event focused on the Assassin's Creed franchise, including a short segment on Assassin's Creed Nexus VR, which will allow players to take on the roles of Ezio, Kassandra, or Connor. The upcoming mobile title Codename Jade was also mentioned, with a closed beta planned for the near future. A new trailer and extended gameplay segment for Assassin's Creed Mirage were showcased, highlighting the title's return to the franchise's stealth roots and traditional gameplay. The game is scheduled to release on October 12 and is designed as an homage to the first titles in the series. The event concluded with an in-depth look at Star Wars Outlaws, which is being developed by multiple Ubisoft studios, including Massive, Annecy, Barcelona, Bucharest, Chengdu, Montpellier, Milan, Paris, Shanghai, and Toronto, as well as LucasFilm Games. The game follows the story of Kay Vess, an outlaw attempting to free herself from a bounty by pulling off a heist. Extended gameplay from Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown was also showcased, with a release date set for January 18, 2024. The Crew Motorfest was featured, with a release date of September 14 and a closed beta on July 21-23. Various modes and features of the upcoming racing title were displayed, along with its setting of Oʻahu, Hawaii. Players of the previous titles in the series will be able to import their car collection into the new game. Additional announcements included a closed beta for Skull and Bones on August 25-28, a new season of For Honor on June 15, Jet Set Radio characters coming to Roller Champions, and Halo's Master Chief and The Arbiter coming to Brawlhalla. The Division Resurgence is set to release in fall 2023, and the animated series Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix will premiere on Netflix later this year.
