Xbox Claims to Have Reached a Milestone in Game Development

According to Xbox, the company has made significant progress in delivering regular, high-quality video games. During a media panel titled 'What's Next For Gaming', Xbox Studios head Matt Booty presented an overview of the company's first-party efforts this generation. He highlighted several top-rated titles and acknowledged the 'gaps' in 2022. Booty expressed optimism about reaching the company's goal of releasing four major games per year, thanks in part to the integration of recently acquired studios. He cited titles such as Forza Horizon 5, Psychonauts 2, and Pentiment as examples of the company's success. The company is looking forward to upcoming releases, including Hi-Fi Rush, Minecraft Legends, and Age of Empires. With a strong lineup for 2024, including Towerborne, Hellblade 2, Avowed, and Flight Simulator 2024, Xbox is poised to achieve its goal. The company also expects to generate $1 billion in revenue from PC games this year and boasts 150 million monthly unique users.
