Quantic Dream Launches Indie Game Publishing Arm, Spotlight

Quantic Dream has officially introduced Spotlight, its new publishing label dedicated to supporting independent game developers. The announcement was made during Summer Game Fest: Kickoff Live, where the company showcased trailers for its upcoming titles, including Under The Waves and Lysfanga: The Time Shift Warrior. Under The Waves, developed by Parallel Studio, was first revealed at Gamescom, while Lysfanga: The Time Shift Warrior marks the debut of Sand Door Studio. Additionally, Spotlight will publish Dustborn, the latest game from Red Thread Games, the studio behind Dreamfall Chapters. This move is part of Quantic Dream's broader publishing strategy, which began with the release of Sea of Solitude in 2019. Following a period of controversy and a change in ownership after being acquired by NetEase, Quantic Dream aims to revitalize its image through its support of indie game developers.
