The 2023 Summer Games Done Quick event secured an impressive $2.2 million in donations for charity. Held in Minneapolis from May 28 to June 4, the in-person event supported the humanitarian efforts of Doctors Without Borders. Since its establishment in 2010, the speedrunning organization has accumulated over $46.2 million in charitable donations, with beneficiaries including the Malala Fund and the Organization for Autism Research. In a related fundraising effort, Awesome Games Done Quick raised $2.6 million for the Prevent Cancer Foundation in January. Notably, the organization underwent a leadership change earlier that month, with founder Mike Uyama stepping down and Matt Merkle assuming the role of director of operations.
