Nintendo Cuts Back Operations of Russian eShop
Nintendo has confirmed that it is scaling back the functionality of its eShop in Russia. The adjustments took effect on May 31. According to the company, existing Nintendo Account holders in Russia can still access and redownload previously purchased digital content for the time being. However, creating new accounts with a Russian country setting is no longer an option. Furthermore, to ensure security, credit card and PayPal payment information will be deleted. This development follows the cessation of all sales in Russia by Nintendo in 2022 and the departure of Yasha Haddaji as CEO of the company's Russian division.
