Hogwarts Legacy Leads Q1 Sales in the UK and US
According to a recent report by Newzoo, Warner Bros. Games' Hogwarts Legacy emerged as the top-grossing title in both the US and UK during Q1, across PC and console platforms. The report notes that Hogwarts Legacy significantly outsold other PC games during this period, with Sons of the Forest and Valorant trailing behind in terms of revenue in both countries. In terms of console revenue, the UK's top three titles were FIFA 23, Hogwarts Legacy, and Fortnite, while the US had Hogwarts Legacy, NBA 2K23, and Fortnite as its top-grossing titles. The report also highlights differences in Nintendo Switch spending habits between the two countries, with US players favoring first-party Nintendo games and UK players showing more diverse spending patterns. The top revenue-generating titles on the Switch in the US were Metroid Prime: Remastered, Mario Kart 8, and Fortnite, whereas in the UK, they were Fortnite, Metroid Prime: Remastered, and Disney Dreamlight Valley.
