Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Tops UK Boxed Charts, Despite Lower Sales
This week, Star Wars Jedi: Survivor claims the top spot in the UK boxed charts, marking the year's second-largest game launch. Although its sales are 35% lower than its predecessor, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, the comparison may not be entirely accurate due to the pandemic's impact on digital sales. The game's higher retail price, averaging £65.86 on PS5 and £67.72 on Xbox, has resulted in a revenue decline of only 19%. With 82% of sales on PS5 and 18% on Xbox, the game's performance is notable. Meanwhile, Dead Island 2 drops to second place, with a 45% decline in sales, an impressive result for a AAA action game. FIFA 23, Mario Kart 8: Deluxe, and Hogwarts Legacy also feature in the top five, while Minecraft Legends and Advance Wars 1+2: Re-Boot Camp experience significant sales drops.
