Ukraine Gives Green Light to Microsoft's Acquisition of Activision Blizzard

Microsoft's $68.7 billion bid to acquire Activision Blizzard has received approval from Ukraine, adding the country to the growing list of nations that have given the deal the go-ahead. The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine announced its decision, stating that Microsoft and Activision Blizzard do not engage in cloud gaming services within the country, rendering the European Commission's concerns irrelevant. As a result, the committee has permitted the acquisition, citing a lack of significant impact on Ukraine's competitive landscape. This development comes on the heels of South Africa's approval of the merger and follows the UK's decision to block the deal over concerns about its potential to disrupt the cloud gaming market.
