Astragon Entertainment Acquires Independent Arts

Astragon Entertainment, a subsidiary of Team 17, has announced the acquisition of Independent Arts Software, a renowned German game development studio established in 1990. Independent Arts has a rich history of co-developing notable titles such as Fox n Forests, Horse Farm, and Rail World, in addition to its expertise in game porting. This strategic acquisition enables Astragon to expand its catalog of games by developing new and existing intellectual properties. Holger Kuchling, the founder and CEO of Independent Arts, will continue to lead the studio's operations. According to Kuchling, 'The acquisition allows us to strengthen our long-standing partnership with a respected industry player and we are thrilled to join the Astragon family.'
