London Games Festival Draws 58,000 Attendees
This year's London Games Festival witnessed a significant turnout, with nearly 60,000 individuals participating in in-person events. The 12-day festival, comprising 20 free and ticketed events such as the Games Finance Market, Now Play This, and WASD, attracted 58,000 visitors to the UK capital. Notably, 3,500 of these attendees were industry professionals, including developers, publishers, and investors, marking a substantial increase from the previous year's trade attendance. These professionals represented over 800 gaming companies from more than 40 countries. According to Games London, the organisation behind the festival, digital showcases and in-game events in popular titles like Pokemon Go, Roblox, and Golf Clash reached a vast audience of hundreds of thousands. A key feature of the London Games Festival is the Ensemble exhibit, which highlights industry professionals from underrepresented groups. Interviews with two of this year's Ensemble members, No Code's Romana Ramzan and Larky Labs' Roman Alkan, have been published, with a third interview set to follow soon.
