InnoGames Undergoes Restructuring, Cutting 75 Jobs

InnoGames, the developer behind Forge of Empires, has announced a significant restructuring effort, resulting in the layoff of 75 employees. The move is part of a broader strategic realignment aimed at maintaining a competitive edge, expanding its player base, and streamlining its operations. According to CEO Hendrik Klindworth, the gaming market has undergone rapid changes over the past year, necessitating a transformation to ensure the company's future viability. The restructuring involves optimizing development team sizes, investing in innovative game concepts, and enhancing the company's overall agility. Unfortunately, this process has led to the departure of 75 valued team members, who will receive severance packages, including the option to join a transfer company with continued salary support for six months. Additionally, InnoGames will provide assistance with job placement and further training as needed. With over 400 employees, InnoGames is a subsidiary of Modern Times Group, and this move follows the company's publication of a salary transparency report last year.
