Aonic Takes Majority Ownership of Milky Tea

In a strategic move, Aonic has purchased a majority stake in Milky Tea, the development studio behind HyperBrawl Tournament. Founder Jonathan Holmes, previously the majority stakeholder, will now serve as a minority stakeholder and continue to lead the company as CEO. This partnership enables Milky Tea to accelerate its IP development efforts and expand its workforce, with multiple unannounced projects currently in the works. According to Holmes, "Our long-standing relationship with Aonic's leadership has been excellent, and after deciding to take our development to the next level, our discussions last April quickly revealed the potential for a fruitful collaboration. This partnership is an exciting opportunity for Milky Tea to build on its strengths." Aonic Group had previously announced plans to invest over $100 million in its gaming division and acquire several studios, having already invested $35 million in nDreams and acquired Exmox for nearly $100 million.
