ZeniMax Addresses Unauthorized Use of Fan Art in Elder Scrolls Online

ZeniMax is actively working to resolve a dispute involving the unauthorized use of a fan artist's work in The Elder Scrolls Online. The issue came to light when artist Relan Daevath shared on social media that their 2020 artwork had been used as a purchasable skin in the game without their knowledge or permission. Although Daevath acknowledged that the rights to their work's likeness belong to ZeniMax, they expressed disappointment that they were not notified or credited. Following the artist's public statement, ZeniMax acknowledged the situation on Twitter, stating that it was never their intention to use community fan art without proper credit. The company has since been in contact with Daevath to work towards a resolution, with the artist expressing gratitude for the support they have received.
