Media Molecule Ends Live Support for Dreams

Media Molecule has revealed that it will discontinue live service support for Dreams, effective September 1, as the studio redirects its attention to a new gaming project. Released in 2020 for PlayStation 4, Dreams will still be available for purchase, and users can continue to play, share, and create content even after live updates have concluded. In a statement, Media Molecule expressed its appreciation for the Dreams community, stating that nurturing this group of developers, innovators, and creatives has been a highlight of their endeavors. The company has also outlined plans for a Dreams server migration, set to occur in late May, which includes implementing a 5GB online storage cap for users. Furthermore, creators will have the option to delete their content, and the archiving feature will be phased out. Media Molecule has confirmed that its upcoming title will not be part of the Dreams franchise.
