Resident Evil 4 Remake Maintains Top Spot in UK Retail Sales
For the second consecutive week, the Resident Evil 4 Remake led UK retail sales, despite experiencing a 69% decline in sales compared to the previous week. Its sales still outpaced those of FIFA 23, which climbed to the second spot with a 34% increase in sales, pushing Hogwarts Legacy down to third place. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 jumped two spots to fourth, thanks to a 58% sales boost driven by discounts and promotions. Notably, 34 games in the Top 40 saw a week-over-week increase in sales due to various sales events. The most significant beneficiary was Gotham Knights, which re-entered the charts at sixth place after a staggering 999% sales surge. Additionally, Super Mario Odyssey saw a modest 5% sales increase, attributed to the sales of Switch hardware bundles and ongoing promotions tied to The Super Mario Bros Movie, set to release in theaters soon.
