Playtika's Acquisition Bid for Rovio Falls Through

Playtika's attempt to purchase Rovio has been terminated. This development comes two months after the mobile gaming company initially sought to acquire the creator of Angry Birds. According to a statement from Rovio, 'The board of directors of Rovio confirms that the preliminary discussions with Playtika in connection with Rovio's strategic review have now ended.' Rovio's board of directors will continue its strategic review, engaging in non-binding discussions with other parties to secure the most favorable outcome for Rovio and its shareholders. Playtika had initially offered €8.50 per share to Rovio's board in November. Rovio remains in active discussions with multiple potential buyers, as announced last month.
