Super Evil Megacorp Boosts Team for Forthcoming Netflix Project
Following its recent collaboration with Netflix, Super Evil Megacorp, the developer behind Catalyst Black, has augmented its workforce. According to MobileGamer.biz, the studio has made several key appointments and promotions, drawing from a pool of experienced professionals who have previously worked at esteemed companies such as Blizzard, Ubisoft, and Rockstar. The new recruits include: Tim Hume, lead gameplay tech engineer; JC Simbulan, lead animator; Steven Goodwin, senior technical engineer; Jurie Horneman, lead narrative engineer; Cassandre Beaumier, production director; and Milo Casali, senior level designer. Notably, Hume's background includes a four-year tenure as senior software engineer at Blizzard Entertainment, while Simbulan has contributed to notable titles like Halo Infinite and Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. Goodwin brings experience from his time at Microsoft as a senior software engineer. Horneman previously spent four years at Ubisoft, serving as lead research and development programmer, and Beaumier worked at Ubisoft for 12 years as an associate producer before joining Super Evil Megacorp. Casali's resume includes stints as lead world designer at Rockstar Games and level designer at Ubisoft. In light of the Netflix partnership, Leanne Loombe, vice president and head of external games, underscored the significance of the upcoming title, stating, 'It's a major investment for us, and we're committed to building a comprehensive ecosystem around both the streaming content and the game, essentially creating a transmedia experience with this new IP.'
