Gamescom Asia × Thailand Game Show has just unveiled the full roster of exhibitors slated for its 2026 edition, confirming the participation of several heavyweight developers and publishers alongside a host of emerging studios. Among the marquee names are Capcom, Bandai Namco, and The Pokémon Company, while Nintendo and PlayStation will be represented through their local partners rather than direct corporate stands. Notably, Sony will be absent from the exhibition floor this year—a stark contrast to the presence of Nintendo and Xbox at last month’s main Gamescom event in Cologne.

The lineup also features a diverse collection of technology and accessory firms, such as 4Divinity, Elementa, Gryphline, Kuro Games, Razer, AMD, Lenovo, and many others that cater to both hardware enthusiasts and software creators. These partners will populate the expansive business area, which this year expands its geographic reach to include pavilions from 25 different countries and regions. Attendees can expect dedicated spaces for Austria, Germany, the Philippines, South Korea, Spain and the host nation, Thailand, each highlighting local talent, market trends, and government initiatives. Beyond the exhibition booths, the show’s program is packed with competitive pitching sessions that encourage developers to present their projects to potential investors, as well as reverse‑pitching formats where publishers seek out fresh concepts.

Xsolla, a leading video‑game commerce platform, will sponsor the “Invest Circle and VIP XPerience,” a curated networking environment designed to bring together developers, publishers, and venture capitalists for face‑to‑face discussions. The business zone will also host a robust speaker series, featuring more than 70 presenters from over 20 countries across four separate stages. The highlight of the conference will be a keynote address by John Romero, co‑founder of Id Software, titled “Why We Still Make Games.” Romero will also be honored with this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing his enduring influence on the industry.

Other confirmed speakers span a wide spectrum of the gaming ecosystem. Nick Herman and Dennis Lenart of AdHoc Studio will share insights on indie development and publishing strategies. Zhen Fang, Vice President of Roblox and head of its international division, will discuss the rapid growth of user‑generated content platforms.

Jane Lau, head of production at Tencent, will provide a perspective on scaling games for massive global audiences. Emilio Coppola, executive director of the Godot Engine, will talk about open‑source development tools, while Yoan Fanise, creative director and founder of DigixArt, will explore narrative‑driven game design. The event is a collaborative effort between Koelnmesse, Show No Limit, and Online Station.

Prakash Ramajillu, General Manager for Asia‑Pacific at Koelnmesse, emphasized the show’s heightened focus on international collaboration: “This year we are placing an even stronger emphasis on internationality, bringing leading global gaming brands to the entertainment area while expanding the business zone with more country pavilions, networking opportunities, and greater support for independent developers through the indie area and the Thailand Pavilion, backed by Thailand’s Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) and the Thai Game Software Industry Association (TGA).” Pongsuk Hiranprueck, CEO of Show No Limit, added a regional perspective, noting that the previous edition’s attendance of over 200,000 visitors demonstrated Thailand’s evolution from a pure consumer market to a cultural and creative engine within Asia’s gaming landscape. The 2026 Gamescom Asia × Thailand Game Show will take place at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok from October 29 to November 1. The business area will be open exclusively to industry professionals and media on October 29 and 30, providing a focused environment for B2B meetings, partnership talks, and press briefings. For context, the inaugural Gamescom × Thailand edition attracted 206,159 visitors from 95 countries, with the business zone welcoming 5,590 professionals representing 81 nations over four days.

That strong foundation sets the stage for an even larger, more globally integrated event in 2026, promising a vibrant mix of established brands, cutting‑edge technology partners, and innovative indie creators all converging under one roof to shape the future of gaming in Southeast Asia and beyond.
