Arctic7 Continues Growth with Acquisition of Two New Studios
In a strategic move to broaden its presence in the gaming and media production sectors, Arctic7 has acquired Star Fort Games and Narwhal Studios. Narwhal Studios, a renowned virtual art production studio based in Los Angeles, boasts an impressive portfolio that includes work on the film Black Adam and the television series Obi-Wan Kenobi. Star Fort Games, established in 2019 in Ottawa, Canada, has developed notable titles such as Star Envoy and Wordmeetstee. The acquisition aims to propel Arctic7's expansion into new markets. Lindsay Daggitt, studio head of Star Fort Games, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, "Joining the Arctic7 family is a thrilling opportunity for Star Fort Games, and we're eager to explore the new possibilities this collaboration will bring to our team and studio. By combining our strengths with those of other Arctic7 studios, we're confident that together, we can achieve unprecedented success." This development comes on the heels of Arctic7's first anniversary and follows the recent appointments of John Burns as chief commercial officer and Felix Jorge as chief communication officer.
