Private Division Experiences Job Cuts at Take-Two

According to a report by Bloomberg's Jason Schreier, Take-Two has implemented layoffs at its Private Division label, as well as other areas within the company. A spokesperson for the company has confirmed the news, stating that the reductions are part of a strategic effort to realign the organization with long-term objectives. The spokesperson noted that the impact on US development teams has been minimal, with the primary focus of the layoffs being on corporate operations and label publishing. Outside of the US, the company has initiated procedures in compliance with local laws, which may result in further job cuts. This move follows Take-Two's recent announcement of a cost reduction program, aiming to cut over $50 million in annual spending, primarily in publishing and corporate functions. The company's CEO, Strauss Zelnick, had previously indicated that while some redundancies might occur, there were no plans for widespread layoffs, instead focusing on streamlining operations department by department to drive efficiency.
