Square Enix to Shift Japanese Headquarters to Shibuya

In a significant development, Square Enix, the renowned publisher of the Final Fantasy series, has revealed plans to relocate its primary offices in Japan to Shibuya. According to reports, this move is anticipated to occur once the construction of a new facility is completed in November 2024. Presently, the company is based in the Shinjuku district of Tokyo. The announcement of this relocation follows closely on the heels of the news that Yosuke Matsuda, who has led the company for ten years, will be stepping down as president. His successor, Takashi Kiryu, is slated to assume the role later this year.
