Ukraine Aims to Pull Atomic Heart from Online Stores

The Ukrainian Ministry of Digital Transformation is pushing for the removal of Atomic Heart from the country's digital stores. According to reports from PCGamesN and Dev.ua, the ministry is urging countries to limit the game's distribution due to concerns over its potential to compromise user data and indirectly fund the Russian-Ukrainian conflict. The ministry plans to send a formal request to major gaming platforms, including Sony, Microsoft, and Valve, to ban the Mundfish-developed game. In a statement, Ukrainian officials expressed concerns that the game was funded by Russian companies, stating, "As the game's development was reportedly backed by Russian enterprises, we advise users worldwide to exercise caution and avoid this game." The officials also criticized the game's developers for not publicly denouncing the Russian aggression against Ukraine. This development comes after Mick Gordon, the composer for Atomic Heart, announced his decision to donate his earnings from the game to support those affected by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
