Microsoft Hikes Prices for Xbox Series S and X Consoles in Sweden

Microsoft has implemented a price increase for its Xbox Series S and X consoles in the Swedish market. According to a report by GamingDeputy, the changes were noticed on the company's official website. A breakdown of the old and new prices is as follows: the Xbox Series S previously cost 3,595.00 SEK ($347.34) and now costs 3,894.00 SEK ($376.99), while the Xbox Series X has risen from 5,695.00 SEK ($550.53) to 6,195.00 SEK ($599.82). This development comes on the heels of a similar price adjustment in Japan last month. Additionally, in December 2022, Microsoft announced plans to raise the prices of its first-party Xbox games from $60 to $70. The company is not alone in increasing console prices, as Sony also raised the price of its PlayStation 5 console in several regions back in August 2022.
