Modern Wolf Appoints Phil Elliott as New CEO
Phil Elliott is set to take the helm as CEO of independent game publisher Modern Wolf, with his tenure commencing in March. This development comes on the heels of his departure from Square Enix Collective, where he had been a key figure since 2013. Initially joining as head of community, Elliott has now passed the baton to Timea Edvi, who has been with the Collective since 2016 and previously held the position of senior brand and marketing manager. Prior to his decade-long stint at Square Enix, Elliott's career spanned roles as a games journalist, including editor and publisher of GamesIndustry.biz from 2007, editor of GameSpot in 2006 and 2007, and a four-year tenure at BBC Radio. As Modern Wolf's new CEO, Elliott aims to drive team growth and expand the company's publishing catalog. He expressed his enthusiasm for joining the team, stating that Modern Wolf is at a pivotal moment in its journey as a publisher and that he is eager to contribute to its future success.
