Former Respawn Entertainment Developers Launch Wildlight Entertainment
A team of veteran game developers, formerly of Respawn Entertainment, has established a new remote game development studio called Wildlight Entertainment. The studio's co-founders include CEO Dusty Welch, previously COO and GM of Apex Legends, and design director Jason McCord, who also worked on Apex Legends. They are joined by Chad Grenier, former game director at Respawn, who serves as the studio head and game director. Another key team member is Mohammad Alavi, previously the creative director at Respawn, who has been with Wildlight for 13 months. According to Eurogamer, the studio currently has 28 employees, boasting experience on prominent titles such as Call of Duty, Titanfall, Valorant, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and PUBG. Notably, only three team members lack experience working on Apex or Titanfall. On its official website, Wildlight Entertainment states that it is fully funded and has been secretly developing a new intellectual property for some time.
