Hardball Games Secures $5.2 Million in Seed Funding
Hardball Games, a newly established game studio founded by Jason Avent, has successfully raised £4.3 million ($5.2 million) in its initial funding round. Avent brings significant industry experience, having previously served as a non-executive director at FuturLab for six years and as studio head at TT Games for four years. The funding round was led by Griffin Gaming Partners, with additional participation from Paul Gouge and Alex Rigby, co-founders of the mobile gaming company Playdemic. Avent expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership, stating, "The involvement of Paul and Alex, who have built a billion-dollar gaming business, combined with Griffin's support, is a testament to our team's credentials and the vast potential of our cross-platform multiplayer games." The investment will enable Hardball Games to expedite the development of its innovative multiplayer IP.
