TIGA Launches Industry Placement Initiative

TIGA, a trade association, has introduced a proposed Industrial Secondment Program. This annual program is designed to provide 20 video game educators with the opportunity to gain part-time or full-time experience in game development. By participating in the program, TIGA aims to equip educators with the knowledge to create cutting-edge curricula, ultimately increasing the employability of their students. The program is set to receive €1 million ($1.1 million) in funding from Innovate UK. "Given the rapidly evolving nature of the video games industry, it is crucial that educators in the UK's esteemed institutions are equipped to teach relevant and contemporary courses," stated Dr. Richard Wilson OBE, CEO of TIGA. "TIGA's Industrial Secondment Program will empower participating educators to prepare students for successful careers in the UK's world-class video games industry."
