Epic Games has introduced a new type of account designed specifically for minors, enhancing safety and inclusivity for young gamers. When minors log into the Epic Games platform, their account automatically switches to a restricted mode, prompting them to provide a parent or guardian's email address for consent. To access certain features, such as voice chat, purchasing items, linking accounts to social media, and buying games, minors will need permission from a guardian. Although restricted, minors can still browse the Epic Games store and their game library, with limitations on specific features until parental consent is granted.
