Yuji Naka Faces Second Insider Trading Allegation
Reports indicate that Yuji Naka has been arrested for a second time on suspicion of insider trading, with the latest allegations connected to Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier. According to a Japanese news outlet, Naka was re-arrested alongside former Square Enix employee Taisuke Sazaki, who was also taken into custody earlier this month. The allegations suggest that Naka and Sazaki invested in ATeam Entertainment using confidential information about Square Enix's plans to collaborate on the Final Fantasy mobile game. It is alleged that Naka invested approximately ¥144.7 million yen in ATeam Entertainment before the game's announcement. This development comes after Naka's arrest last month for suspected insider trading related to his purchase of shares in Aiming, the developer behind Dragon Quest Tact, while he was still employed by Square Enix. Two former Square Enix employees, including Sazaki and Fumiaki Suzuki, were also arrested at the time.
