The upcoming Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show has released the full list of exhibitors slated to appear at the 2026 edition, confirming the participation of industry heavyweights such as Capcom, Bandai Namco, and The Pokémon Company, alongside representations of Nintendo and PlayStation through their local partners. While Sony chose not to maintain a dedicated stand at last month’s Gamescom, its absence was noted in contrast to the visible presence of Nintendo and Xbox, underscoring the varied strategies of major console manufacturers in the region. In addition to the marquee names, a diverse array of developers, hardware manufacturers, and technology providers will be on hand.

Among them are indie studio 4Divinity, creative collective Elementa, narrative‑driven studio Gryphline, and the up‑and‑coming Kuro Games. Peripheral and component leaders such as Razer, AMD, and Lenovo will also exhibit, offering attendees hands‑on experiences with the latest gaming laptops, graphics solutions, and gaming accessories. The show’s business area is set to become a true international hub, featuring pavilions from 25 different countries and regions. Visitors will be able to explore dedicated booths from Austria, Germany, the Philippines, South Korea, Spain, and the host nation Thailand, among others.

Each pavilion will highlight the unique market trends, development talent, and investment opportunities of its respective locale, fostering cross‑border collaboration and knowledge exchange. Beyond the exhibition floor, the event will host a series of pitch and reverse‑pitch competitions designed to connect creators with publishers and financiers. Xsolla, a global video‑game commerce platform, will sponsor the “Invest Circle and VIP XPerience,” a curated networking environment where developers, publishers, and investors can meet face‑to‑face, discuss funding possibilities, and negotiate publishing deals. The conference program will feature more than 70 speakers drawn from over 20 countries, spread across four main stages.

Veteran game designer John Romero, co‑founder of Id Software, will deliver a keynote titled “Why We Still Make Games,” in which he will reflect on the enduring passion that drives creators after decades in the industry. Romero will also be honored with this year’s Lifetime Achievement Award, recognizing his seminal contributions to the evolution of interactive entertainment. Other confirmed speakers include Nick Herman and Dennis Lenart of AdHoc Studio, who will share insights on indie development and publishing; Zhen Fang, Vice President of Roblox and head of its international division, who will discuss the rapid growth of user‑generated content platforms; Jane Lau, head of production at Tencent, who will provide a perspective on the Chinese market and large‑scale live‑service operations; Emilio Coppola, executive director of the Godot Engine, who will talk about open‑source tools and community‑driven development; and Yoan Fanise, creative director and founder of DigixArt, who will explore narrative‑driven game design.

The 2026 Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show is a joint effort between Koelnmesse, Show No Limit, and Online Station. Prakash Ramajillu, General Manager for Asia‑Pacific at Koelnmesse, emphasized the event’s growing international focus, stating, “This year we are placing an even stronger emphasis on internationality. We are bringing leading global gaming brands to the entertainment area while expanding the business zone with more country pavilions, networking opportunities, and greater support for independent developers through the indie area and the Thailand Pavilion, which is backed by the Digital Economy Promotion Agency (depa) and the Thai Game Software Industry Association (TGA).” Show No Limit CEO Pongsuk Hiranprueck added that the previous year’s turnout—over 200,000 visitors—demonstrated Thailand’s emergence not merely as a consumer market but as a cultural and creative engine within Asia’s gaming ecosystem. He noted, “Last year's success, with over 200,000 attendees, is clear proof that Thailand is not merely a consumer market, but a key driving force of culture and the creative economy at the Asian level.” The venue for the 2026 edition will be the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok, with the main exhibition running from October 29 to November 1.

The business area will be accessible to industry professionals and media on October 29 and 30, providing a focused environment for B2B meetings, press briefings, and partnership discussions. To put the event’s scale in perspective, the inaugural Gamescom x Thailand Game Show attracted 206,159 visitors from 95 countries, while its business zone hosted 5,590 professionals representing 81 nations over four days. Those numbers illustrate the rapid growth of the event and its significance as a regional hub for gaming innovation, investment, and cultural exchange.

The 2026 edition aims to build on that momentum, offering expanded exhibition space, a richer speaker lineup, and enhanced opportunities for indie developers and international partners to connect and collaborate. Overall, the Gamescom Asia x Thailand Game Show 2026 promises to be a landmark gathering that blends the excitement of consumer-facing showcases with the strategic depth of a global business forum, positioning Bangkok as a pivotal crossroads for the future of gaming in Southeast Asia and beyond.
