Yahaha Secures $40 Million in Funding for User-Generated Gaming Platform

Yahaha, a platform for user-generated games, has successfully raised an additional $40 million in a Series A+ funding round. The investment will be utilized to expand the platform and drive company growth, following its founding in 2020 and the launch of its product in early alpha in April 2022. The funding round was spearheaded by Temasek, Singapore's state-owned investment firm, and Alibaba, with additional participation from 37 Interactive Entertainment, a Chinese game developer and publisher. This investment follows Yahaha's $50 million raise in January, which aimed to develop its no-code game creation platform. With a presence in Helsinki, Seoul, and Shanghai, the company has grown to 150 employees. According to CEO Chris Zhu, 'The remarkable growth of Yahaha during its early alpha stage, coupled with over 100,000 creators signing up to produce content, demonstrates a solid foundation. This funding round represents the next phase in Yahaha's development, focusing on introducing more monetization opportunities for creators.'
