EA Sees Modest Sales Increase Thanks to FIFA 23

Electronic Arts has released its Q2 earnings report, revealing a steady growth in revenue and net income. Key figures include: $1.9 billion in revenue, marking a 4% increase, $1.75 billion in net bookings, a 5% decrease, and $299 million in net income, up 2%. The successful launch of FIFA 23 has been a significant factor in this growth, with unit sales up 10% and Ultimate Team players increasing by 6% in the first four weeks. Despite this, the company has experienced a decline in net bookings, a trend also seen in the first quarter. EA's CFO, Chris Suh, expressed optimism about the company's prospects, citing its resilient business model and strong fundamentals. The report also highlighted an 8% growth in live services and other revenue, while full game sales decreased by 2%. Console revenues were down 3%, but mobile revenues saw a significant increase of 27%, and PC and other revenues rose by 12%.
