Founder of Kalypso Media, Simon Hellwig, Passes Away

The founder, co-owner, and joint managing director of Kalypso Media, Simon Hellwig, has sadly passed away, the company has confirmed. Anika Thun, who was already a joint managing director, will now lead the company forward with the support of the senior management team. Hellwig played a pivotal role in establishing Kalypso Media back in 2006 and has since been instrumental in guiding the company's growth and expansion across five countries, where it now employs over 200 people and operates five development studios as well as Kasedo Games. In a statement, the company expressed its deep sadness at the loss of Hellwig, describing him as an 'enormously well-respected leader and friend' who inspired his team and the wider industry with his dedication and vision. His legacy will be greatly missed by all at Kalypso Media and the gaming industry at large.
